BE SEEN – Be A Blessing Buffalo

BE SEEN

is a community recognition campaign created to celebrate young people whose character, kindness, compassion, perseverance, inclusion, and determination deserve to be noticed. This isn’t about who gets the best grades, scores the most goals, or receives the most awards. It’s about recognizing the kids who notice someone sitting alone, help someone without being asked, consistently show kindness, overcome difficult circumstances, or simply make the people around them better.

Our message behind it is:

BE SEEN. Because being a good human deserves recognition, too.

Teachers, coaches, counselors, mentors, and community members will be able to nominate a young person and tell us their story. We do not want immediate family members nominating their own child.

Each month, we will select one young person to BE SEEN. With permission from their family, we will share their story and celebrate them within our community. We will then coordinate with the person who nominated them to surprise the recipient. The nominator will have the opportunity to read their submission to them, and Be a Blessing Buffalo will gift the child or teen something special that they choose.
